Happy New Year
amigos!
Hope
this 2008 has already brought you happiness.
So much has happened since November. I know
you haven't seen much of me in the past two months.
Being on the road so much has held me back from
doing all of the wonderful things I have lined
out for the this year. For instance, some
friends recommended me for a part in a movie and
I've been driving back and forth to Ft. Worth
to meet with producers, other cast members and
to audition. Well, I got the lead female
role! I'm very excited! The movie
is called "Far Enough" and we begin
shooting in late spring so I've been spending
a lot of time rehearsing. This movie is
about how tough the music business is. I know
that they are looking at one of the sexiest men
in America for one of the parts. I'll give
you a hint, his initials are M.M. That's
all I can tell you right now but I will fill you
in with more details soon!
I
got a phone call from the President of the Academy
of Texas Music and because the song "Lone
Star Flag" was being played in stations all
over Texas into this new year it has been nominated
for record of the year in 2008! Congrats
to Wake Eastman the songwriter! The awards
will be held in Palestine, Texas. Wish us
luck!
I was asked today
by Sierra Guitars if I would like to represent a line of their
guitars! I am very proud to be a part of their corporation. They
are environmentally conscious and produce a wonderful guitar. I
will be using one of these at my live shows soon!
I
just recently returned from the south Texas home
of my amigo Kelly Kenning. He has a beautiful
ranch there where we spent a lot of time songwriting
by the pond and talking music. Ok I'm not
gonna lie, we did spend some time ridin' four
wheelers, shooting skeet and hunting. I
left with some songs that I can't wait to sing
for yall!
Speaking
of songs, I have so many songs to choose from
for the new album I can't decide which ones to
use. That's right I'm going to cut my 5th
album very soon! I have some really exciting
news but I can't say just yet what it is but I'll
give you a hint. Nashville!
These
projects have had me really hopping but I have
some live shows booked starting in late February.
As you can see on my dates page they are all over
the state. Hope to see you there!
Thanks to all of you for your support! I
miss yall too, and will see you on the road.
Love your amiga,
Pauline
